Home Stories is a collaboration of local, recently arrived immigrant middle and high school students with Dr. Ana Patricia Rodriguez and University of Maryland students to create multimedia digital narratives of home and migration and share with their families, communities and on the project website. Designed to promote self-reflection, critical thinking, language development and technical skills necessary for resettlement and growth, the model will also be made available to other recently arrived groups.
UMD has been awarded a generous $100,000 in matching funds for a two-year Humanities Access Grant through the National Endowment for the Humanities. We need your support to raise $50,000 by May 1 to guarantee the first year of NEH funding at $50,000.
