Info Session - Faculty Writing Groups

You are warmly invited to attend an information session on Writing Accountability Groups (WAGs). WAG is a faculty-driven process shown to increase writing productivity, help participants set and meet goals, and build community (more info below). For Fall 2019, the College of Architecture welcomes interested faculty members (TTK and PTK) from across campus into cross-disciplinary WAGs.

 AboutWAG is a peer accountability/support program designed to increase faculty writing productivity. Groups meet for 60 minutes every week at the same time for 10 weeks. These meetings include individual timed writing periods and discussion/sharing of weekly writing goals and updates. Space is limited to 4-8 participants per group. Evidence shows that WAG members significantly improve their writing productivity/quality, goal setting and time management skills, and opportunities to network and build community.  At the info session, Tara Burke (ARCH) will review WAG guidelines and protocols, provide additional tools and resources for those hoping to set up a writing schedule for the semester, and review common tricks/tips regarding writing for proposals. At the meeting, she will also open the "Request to Join Fall 2019 WAG" intake form for faculty who wish to participate. Interested in learning more before the session?
