FSRA/ISRCA Info Session

Friday, September 11, 2020 - 10:00 AM

The FSRA and ISRCA UMD internal funding info session has been scheduled for Friday, September 11, at 10am. The session will cover key elements of the FSRA and ISRCA applications, as well as determine which competition best suits a given project. Please submit any questions in advance of the info session via email to adykema@umd.edu.

The deadline for both the Grad School's annual Faculty Student Research Award (FSRA) and the Division of Research's Independent Scholarship, Research, and Creativity Award (ISRCA) is October 1, 2020, at 5pm.

These internal UMD grants award $10,000 for research expenses, a course release, or summer salary. ISRCA grants fund independent scholarly or creative activity. To be eligible for the FSRA, projects must demonstrate direct involvement and benefit to graduate students. (TTK faculty may apply to FSRA or ISRCA, but not both, each cycle; PTK faculty are only eligible for the FSRA.) These two awards functionally replace the former RASA/CAPAA competition for UMD faculty. Sample funded application narratives from last cycle for both FSRA and ISRCA are available in the ARHU proposal library.  If you would like to join the meeting and have not RSVP'd, please contact Amanda Dykema (adykema@umd.edu) for Zoom login information.
