UMD opportunities for faculty research funding have changed for AY19-20. The Division of Research offers the new Independent Scholarship, Research, and Creative Awards (ISRCA), and the Graduate School has replaced their former RASA/CAPAA with the Faculty-Student Research Award (FSRA). Please join Amanda Dykema for an info session in the dean's office conference room (Key 1102J) at 10am on Friday, September 6, to learn more about the details of these programs and determine the submission(s) right for you ahead of October 1 deadlines.

Independent Scholarship, Research and Creativity Awards (ISRCA): New funding opportunity to support faculty pursuing independent scholarly and/or creative projects. Funds up to $10,000 per award to support teaching release, summer salary, and/or research related expenses. Deadline: October 1.

Faculty-Student Research Award (FSRA): Awards $10,000 to support a faculty project that directly involves graduate students. The FSRA program replaces the former Research and Scholarship Awards (RASA) and Creative and Performing Arts Awards (CAPAA). Deadline: October 1.
