We are hosting a public talk and individual 1:1 meetings with program officers from the National Endowment for the Humanities and Maryland Humanities. Marilyn Hatza, Program Officer for Grants and Strategic Partnerships at Maryland Humanities, will be joined by Dr. David Weinstein, Senior Program Officer from the NEH Division of Public Programs, and Dr. Geoff Burrows, Program Officer from the NEH Research Division. This is a valuable opportunity for ARHU faculty to hear about the grant processes, funding priorities, and grant seeking guidance of NEH and MH, and to ask pertinent questions related to your work. In addition, faculty who have a specific proposal idea that fits within the granting opportunities of either institution and are intending to submit proposals in the coming year are welcome to schedule individual 20-minute meetings with either representative in afternoon meetings held 2pm-4pm. Please RSVP to Cara Kennedy at ckenned3@umd.edu if you wish to schedule an individual meeting.
The mission of the Center is to promote and support diverse forms of inquiry in the humanities. The Center’s work engages stakeholders in innovative and inclusive approaches to understanding the value of the humanities for improving our lives.
