Call for Nominations

The College of Arts and Humanities is now accepting nominations for the University of Maryland’s Charles A. Caramello Distinguished Dissertation Award. Eligible candiates are UMD Ph.D. graduates who have submitted their dissertation to the Graduate School in the 2018 calendar year. Each ARHU unit may nominate one dissertation to the college.

Social Justice Day Award Nomination Deadline Extended

This inaugural award recognizes outstanding and exceptional efforts toward social justice done throughout the academic year. While Social Justice Day is one day to bring awareness and engagement to social justice issues on campus, there are several people who work tirelessly all year long on building, implementing and sustaining social justice initiatives. UMD wants to bring recognition to these ongoing efforts.
