College Park Think-A-Thon 2014
Do you believe arts and culture can transform a community?
Do you think the Route 1 corridor in College Park needs a facelift?
Do you think College Park is accessible? Do you frequent the local businesses? Is safety a concern for you?
What should a new Arts and Culture District along Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) look like?
What should it do? What should it have? How would it benefit the community?
The College Park Think-A-Thon brought together the larger College Park community, administrators, faculty, students, residents, government officials, arts organizations, and more to discuss the role of the arts and culture in the redesign of Baltimore Avenue. The College Park Think-A-Thon is a variation of the Baltimore Think-A-Thon, now an annual event, a “think and do” event in which scholars, artists, social activists, foundation representatives and others come together in a one-day, intensive working session to imagine and plan the ways in which arts and culture can address the city’s challenges.
