"Thinking Pictures" Virtual Reality Video

DCC Living Learning Community will be partnering with immersive design leader Stephan Fitch this spring. 

This video demonstration uses a movie poster to demonstrate how, by simply pointing your phone at a publishers cover page - can recognize the issue and transform the experience for the reader. Not only could it allow the immediate download of the table of contents, it can allow the reader's phone to extract the specific articles of interest automatically and as a subscriber they may read any article from any magazine at any time anywhere. The model proposed is similar to Apple's iTunes allowing users to buy songs instead of the entire CD and similar to Hulu and Netflix in that it allows users the full breadth of every article from any publisher to be read and retained through subscribership.
